Privacy

Your files

All tools on this site currently run inside your browser. When you choose or drop a file, it is read and processed on your own device, and the result is created there too. The file is not sent to our servers or to anyone else, so there is nothing for us to store or delete. When you close or reload the page, the file and the result are gone from the page.

File names are shown only to you on the page. We do not record them, and we cannot see the files you convert.

Pasted text and generated results

Text and developer tools process pasted input in browser memory, including JSON, CSV, comparison drafts and regular expressions. These inputs are not uploaded or saved by the tools. Copy or download anything you need before leaving the page. Copy uses your device clipboard only when you select the copy action; downloads create a file on your device.

Data the website receives

Like every website, loading our pages means your browser sends requests to our hosting provider, Vercel. To deliver the pages and protect the service, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and may keep it in server logs for a limited time under its own privacy policy. These requests never contain your files.

Cookies and storage

• Needed by the site: your light or dark theme choice and your answer to the ads question are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them. They never leave your device, and clearing your site data removes them.
• Advertising (only if you accept): Google AdSense, described below. If you reject, or do not choose, it is not loaded and sets no cookies.
• We do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own.

Advertising and Google AdSense

FileConvertify is free. We have applied to Google AdSense and plan to support the site with advertising. Ad availability depends on approval and configuration. The first time you visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Reject ads. Until you accept, the AdSense code is not loaded on your device.

If you accept, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, similar technologies and data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view to show and measure ads, to limit how often you see an ad, and to prevent fraud. This can include ads based on your interests. Google acts as an independent controller of that data; see how Google uses data when you use sites that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.

The ads are never given your files. Your files stay in your browser whether you accept ads or not.

Your choices

• Change your answer at any time with the Ad choices button at the bottom of every page. Choosing Reject stops ads loading on your next page view; to remove cookies already set, clear this site's cookies in your browser.
• Manage personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.com (Europe).
• We do not knowingly show personalised ads to children, and the site is not directed at children under 13.

Where we are, and visitors from other countries

FileConvertify is operated from India and is open to visitors worldwide. Our hosting provider and Google may process technical data in other countries, including the United States, under their own privacy policies. That is why advertising cookies are asked for first, and why your files are never sent anywhere.

Your rights

We do not keep personal data about you ourselves: no accounts, no uploaded files and no analytics of our own. Depending on where you live, you may have rights over data that our hosting provider or Google hold, such as access, deletion or objection; exercise them with those companies using the links above, or ask us a question through the contact page or at fileconvertify@gmail.com.

Changes to this page

If we add or change a service that handles data, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
