Step by step
How to edit a PDF
Step 1: Drop a PDF on the box above, or select Choose file. The first page opens large.
Step 2: Add text, a picture, a box or a cover-up, then drag it into place and drag a corner to resize it. Change the text, size and colour on the right.
Step 3: Select Save PDF, then Download PDF.
What you can add
Text in five colours and any size from 6 to 72 points, wrapped to the width of its box. Pictures from PNG, JPG or WebP files. Box outlines to draw attention to something, and filled boxes, white by default, to cover up part of a page before you write over it.
Text in Western European languages is written as real PDF text. Other scripts and emoji are drawn as a sharp transparent picture with your device's fonts, so they still appear exactly where you put them.
What it does not do
It adds to the page; it does not change the text already in the PDF. A cover-up hides what is under it when the page is viewed or printed, but the original text is still in the file. To remove content for good, use Redact PDF instead.
Everything else in the PDF is kept: pages are not re-rendered, so existing text stays selectable.
Using a keyboard
Focus an item on the page with Tab. The arrow keys move it, Shift with the arrows moves it further, Alt with the arrows resizes it, and Delete removes it. Its text, size and colour are set in the panel next to the page.
Private
Your PDF and the pictures you add stay inside your browser tab. Nothing is uploaded.
