URL Encoder and Decoder
Encode URL components, decode values or inspect repeated query parameters. Your input stays in your browser.

Limit: 500,000 character units per input. Oversized pastes are rejected. Drafts stay in this page and are not saved.
Step by step
How to use URL Encoder and Decoder
Step 1: Choose component encoding, component decoding or query inspection. For query inspection, paste a full URL or query string.
Step 2: Select Process URL. Component decoding keeps plus signs; query inspection treats plus signs as spaces and preserves repeated names.
Step 3: Review decoded values and copy or download the output. The tool parses text without visiting the pasted address.
Example to try
Encode the component a b&+. The output is a%20b%26%2B. Inspecting ?x=a+b&x=%2B instead produces two x entries with values a b and +.
Encode one component rather than a complete URL
Encode component applies percent encoding to one path fragment, query value or other component. For example, hello world becomes hello%20world. Encoding an entire URL also encodes its colon, slashes and separators, which usually is not what you want when constructing a navigable address. Keep the URL structure separate from the individual values being encoded.
Inspect repeated query parameters in order
Inspect query parameters accepts a complete absolute URL, a query beginning with a question mark or a bare parameter string. Repeated names remain separate rows in their original order. Query parsing follows URLSearchParams behavior, where plus means a space and malformed sequences can be replaced. Decode component instead uses percent decoding and preserves literal plus signs; malformed percent or UTF-8 sequences cause an error.
Output limits and local processing
The query table shows the first 1,000 pairs for readability, while the downloadable JSON output contains every parsed parameter. Values are displayed as text and are not used as links or injected into HTML. An empty query produces an empty list. Query inspection is useful for debugging a URL, but it does not validate whether a server accepts or trusts the parameter values.
Inputs and results are held only in this page's memory. Developer inputs accept up to 500,000 character units each. Oversized pastes are rejected while preserving the previous input. Generated output is limited to 5,000,000 character units. No sign-up is needed. Copy and download actions are explicit; the tool does not upload your drafts or save them for a later visit.
