Step by step

How to put several PDF pages on one sheet

  1. Step 1: Drop a PDF with at least two pages on the box above, or select Choose file.

  2. Step 2: Choose how many pages per sheet, the paper size, the gap and whether to draw a border around each page.

  3. Step 3: Select Combine pages, then Download PDF.

Handouts and proofs

N-up, also called pages per sheet, saves paper and gives an overview: slides as handouts with six or nine to a sheet, a 16-up sheet to see a whole short document at once, or two pages side by side to proof a spread. Pages are placed left to right, then top to bottom, in their original order.

Portrait pages with 2 per sheet go side by side on a landscape sheet; landscape pages with 2 per sheet are stacked on a portrait sheet. Each page is scaled to fit its cell without cropping and never enlarged beyond its own size.

What changes and what does not

Pages are placed as vector drawings, so text stays selectable, but links, form fields and comments are not carried over. Pages are fitted using the first page's orientation, so a document mixing portrait and landscape pages is best split first.

The last sheet may have empty cells when the page count does not divide evenly.

Frequently asked questions

In what order are the pages placed?
Left to right, then top to bottom, in the original page order.
Why is my sheet landscape?
Layouts that are wider than tall, such as 2 or 6 portrait pages per sheet, use a landscape sheet so the pages stay as large as possible.
Can I print booklets with this?
Not yet. This puts pages in reading order; a booklet needs pages in folding order.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser tab and your file never leaves your device.
