  2. Step 2: Under Form, choose the exam and what you are uploading, then drag the box over the part to keep. Its shape matches the form.

The rules we use, from each official notice

We copied these rules from the bodies' own 2026 notices and checked them on 29 October 2026: the IBPS CRP PO/MT-XVI How to Apply guide (June 2026), UPSC's CAPF (AC) 2026 notice of 20 February 2026, the SSC Stenographer 2026 notice of 24 April 2026, the NTA Information Bulletin for NEET (UG) 2026, and Passport Seva's guidelines for ICAO-compliant photographs.

IBPS photo: JPG, 200 × 230 pixels (preferred), 20–50 KB. IBPS signature: JPG, 140 × 60 pixels (preferred), 10–20 KB. IBPS thumb: JPG, 240 × 240 pixels (preferred), 20–50 KB. IBPS declaration: JPG, 800 × 400 pixels (preferred), 50–100 KB. UPSC photo: JPG, no fixed pixel size, 20–200 KB.

UPSC signature: JPG, no fixed pixel size, 20–100 KB. SSC signature: JPG, no fixed pixel size, 10–20 KB. NEET photo: JPG, no fixed pixel size, 10–200 KB. NEET signature: JPG, no fixed pixel size, 10–100 KB. Passport photo: JPG, 630 × 810 pixels, no file size set.

SSC takes your photo live in the application form, so it only needs a signature upload. UPSC asks for a live photo as well as the uploaded one. Rules change between exam cycles, so the tool links the notice for each form; check the one you are applying under.

How the file size is met

The tool cuts your picture to the box, resizes it to the form's pixel size if the form sets one, and then picks the highest JPG quality whose file fits under the form's limit. Because some forms count 1 KB as 1,000 bytes and others as 1,024, the file is kept under the smaller reading of the maximum and over the larger reading of the minimum.

Small pixel sizes can come out below a form's minimum even at the highest quality, especially a signature on clean white paper. In that case the tool adds an empty comment inside the JPG to reach the minimum and says so on the result. The picture itself is not changed, and image viewers ignore the comment.

Before you upload

For a photo, use good even light, a plain white or light background and a straight, front-facing pose without dark glasses or a cap. The tool does not change the background, brighten your face or check how much of the photo your face fills, so start from a good photo.

For a signature, sign on plain white paper with a black ink pen, not in capital letters, and keep it the same as the one you will sign at the exam. UPSC asks for three signatures one below the other in a single image.

Frequently asked questions

What size should my photo be for IBPS?
The IBPS CRP PO/MT-XVI guide asks for a photo of 200 × 230 pixels (preferred) between 20 and 50 KB, and a signature of 140 × 60 pixels (preferred) between 10 and 20 KB, both as JPG. Choose IBPS photo or IBPS signature under Form and the tool makes both exactly.
Why is my signature rejected as too small in KB?
A signature on white paper compresses very well, so at 140 × 60 pixels it can be only a few KB. The tool raises the quality first and, if that is still not enough, adds an empty comment inside the file to reach the form's minimum, without changing the picture.
Does SSC need a photo upload?
Not in the 2026 notices we checked. SSC captures your photo live while you fill in the form, and asks you to upload only a scanned signature in JPG of 10 to 20 KB, about 6 cm wide and 2 cm high.
Can I use a phone photo of my signature?
The tool accepts it, but some forms do not: the IBPS guide asks for a scan. If you use a phone photo, take it in daylight on plain white paper, straight from above, and crop tightly around the signature.
Are my photo and signature uploaded to your server?
No. Everything happens inside your browser tab, so your files never leave your device.
