Step by step
How to edit a photo
Step 1: Drop a JPG, PNG or WebP photo on the box above, or select Choose file.
Step 2: Move the brightness, contrast and saturation sliders, or choose a filter. 0 leaves a setting as it is.
Step 3: Select Apply changes, check the preview, then Download image.
What each setting does
Brightness makes the whole photo lighter or darker. Contrast makes light areas lighter and dark areas darker, or flattens them towards grey. Saturation makes colours stronger, or softer down to grey at -100. Small changes, around 10 to 30, usually look the most natural.
Filters are applied after the sliders. Black and white removes all colour; sepia gives the warm brown tone of old prints. Set saturation and contrast first if you want to fine-tune how the filter looks.
What you get
The edited photo keeps its format and size in pixels: a JPG stays a JPG, and a PNG keeps its transparency. JPG and WebP photos are saved at a high quality. Camera details such as the date or location are not copied.
The preview on the result screen shows the edit. If it is too strong, select Start over and try smaller values; your original file is never changed.
